In 2006 Servier UK introduced the Charity of the Year Scheme, whereby we choose a nominated charity to support throughout the year.

Charity of the Year 2009

Depression Alliance is Servier's Charity of the Year for 2009.

Depression Alliance works to relieve and to prevent depression by providing information and support services to those who are affected by the illness via publications, supporter services and self help networks.

Depression Alliance believes that the stigma and lack of accurate information surrounding depression continues to prevent people from seeking and finding appropriate and vital help when it is required and provide information and support to those suffering depression.

Depression Alliance works extensively with government agencies and healthcare professionals to improve the service provision for those affected by depression. The Charity actively campaigns to raise awareness amongst the general public about the realities of depression.
