Servier UK - Dr Jack Servier

Environmental Management

Servier UK’s environmental working groups aim to identify areas where the company can reduce its environmental impact and via education, help and advice, create an environment where employees understand the need and processes involved to reduce, reuse, recycle and conserve, ultimately generating the desire within the organisation to reduce waste and have a positive impact on the environment.

In January 2007 Servier UK introduced a Mixed Recycling Scheme at their Head Office site aimed at reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill by one third.  In addition Servier UK introduced a recycling scheme for mobile phones and printer cartridges whereby £1 is donated to the Depression Alliance for each item recycled.  Following a review of our packaging processes Biodegradable packaging is now used in the warehouse and procurement procedures have been reviewed.  An internal car share scheme for staff based at the Head Office site is in operation to encourage staff to help alleviate pollution and traffic in the local area.
