Patient Organisations

Patient organisations are non-profit making groups or charities, which offer information and support on a wide range of medical conditions to people suffering from illness.

 

Servier UK works with a number of patient organisations to fund research projects, raise disease awareness and help patients make more informed decisions on their healthcare, ultimately benefiting those living with ill health by preventing or lessening the effect of illness and improving patient care.

Depression Alliance	In 2009 Depression Alliance (DA) was Servier’s Charity of the Year, as such various fundraising activities were carried out by Servier staff. Servier provided an educational grant to enable Depression Alliance develop patient information on depression, its treatment and choice. Servier also provided an educational grant so Depression Alliance could upgrade their website and undertake some search engine optimisation work with an external agency. Funding: £25,200
National Osteoporosis Society	In 2009 Servier were a key sponsor of the main National Osteoporosis Society professional conferences. Funding: £90,000

All financial support made by Servier Laboratories Ltd to patient organisations is declared on all materials produced in connection with the material or event as required by the Code of Practice
