Information Technology

The role of the IT department is to improve the experience of IT for all its customers, increase their capability by making IT simpler and easy to use and ensure the security and integrity of the Servier network.

Support

It is the role of IT to provide and support the environment needed to allow each piece of computer equipment to work in an appropriate manner, and to give assistance on IT related issues when required.

Through its Helpdesk solution it provides support on a variety of IT related issues, ranging from such things as the setting up of user accounts, changing of access rights etc, to help with applications such as Word, Excel, to resolution of issues with databases and other complex systems. There are over three hundred separate software systems that IT need to support and it currently deals with an average of seven hundred user support calls per month.

Development

The Development department design, prototype, build and unit test solutions to meet Servier’s needs.

IT uses a variety of tools to build its products, from Microsoft dot Net as its main development platform, to Oracle as its first choice in professional database storage.

Business Systems and Analytics

This Department was launched in 2002 to develop, implement and support Servier UK’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and its users. Since its launch, this Department has evolved into a team that enables IT to work collaboratively with other UK departments to deliver new business systems and analytical solutions.

Its aim is to continually develop, improve and support the company's systems and users in order to fulfil the company’s business requirements.
