Marketing (Medical and Scientific Information)

The Medical and Scientific Information (MSI) department is responsible for the promotion of all Servier drugs to healthcare professionals in the UK. This means that the department is at the centre of much of the Company’s activity and defines both the short and long term strategy and goals for each of the products.

In simple terms this involves,

  • analysing the environment and understanding customer needs
  • identifying and implementing tactics that communicate how our drugs can best satisfy the customers’ needs
  • achieving the sales targets that we set ourselves

In Servier this process is really important. As an independent foundation company, Servier is committed to only bringing to the market drugs that offer new and innovative ways of treating a particular disease, or drugs that are the gold standard within their therapeutic class. This means that we can really focus on the benefits that our drugs bring for doctors and for patients, and achieving our targets means that we can invest more money into research and development, which will help us find more innovative drugs for the future.

The department is structured into teams that enable Servier to best achieve this ambition.

  • 3 product teams operating in disease specific areas aligned with our drugs (Angina, Central Nervous System, and Osteoporosis)
  • A Marketing Support Operations department that supports the product teams on a range of activities including meetings, market insights and electronic media.
