Here is an insight into what to expect from the Training & Development department in Servier whose Mission is:
Preparing people for Success with a Vision of Being the Centre of Excellence for Learning and Development.
The fundamental responsibility of the department is to impart knowledge, facilitate learning and develop skills to advance competencies of Servier employees.
This routinely involves the sales force and the career of every medical representative starts with their Initial Training Programme (ITP). Along with providing them with information on their customers and the NHS, training them on the products they will be promoting and developing their selling skills, the ITP is an ideal opportunity to instil Servier’s culture and values. Every representatives knowledge and skills are assessed throughout their ITP to ensure they are fully competent and confident, ready to meet with their customers. This we pride ourselves on and for this reason, the Servier ITP is reputed to be the most comprehensive in the industry.
Beyond the Initial Training Programme, development continues for individuals to meet personal and company needs. Skills and knowledge are evaluated via various assessment methods throughout the year, (including our Competency Framework) and individual training requirements are identified. One such method employed in achieving this is the ‘Knowledge Assessment’, which is run twice yearly to assess the knowledge of the sales force. Skills are also regularly evaluated by assessing ‘In Call Quality’.
Once development needs are identified, training and development for the sales force is arranged via a blend of in-house courses, E-learning, National Sales Conferences and courses supplied by our International Training Department. Beyond the sales force, the department is also beginning to offer personal development for all Servier personnel, including head office. This is an evolving process involving HR.
During our daily mission, we like to work in a fun and interactive environment, which challenges potential and empowers self-development.
Working in Training and Development in Servier not only requires enthusiasm, commitment and the ability to motive and inspire others, but strong team working and communication skills. These skills ensure that learning is maximised and ensures that, through close communication with relevant stakeholders, all training material continues to evolve in line with current strategy.
With our vision of “Being the Centre of Excellence for Learning and Development”, our aim is to respond to the needs of, and provide training and development of the highest quality to all Servier employees in the UK.
